Today I worked on my presentation boxes a bit more. I completed the box for Mary Toft, and started the box for Marie Antoinette. Along with the boxes, I will be binding small books that will explain the person, and give history and such. I'm quite pleased with it. I made the wood look aged and such, using gouache, and printed fabric with lino cut. The fabric is, of course, various bunnies and rabbits! Probably dead... but nonetheless! Mary Toft is arranged in such a way that her dead uterus bunnies are shown, and she is huddled against the fabric. As any 18th century medical hoaxes would.
